Pyrantel pamoate: 11 mg/kg, single dose (maximum 1 g) $3.48/dose (maximum dose)
Mebendazole: 100 mg, bid x 3 days $17.47/3 days
Albendazole: (restricted availability) 400 mg, single dose no charge, emergency release
-Doses for children are the same as for adults.
-Follow-up by checking stool for O&P to verify clearance of whipworm and ascariasis.
