Comments/Instructions
Adding bromocriptine to standard HF therapy in women with PPCM improves NYHA class, LV systolic and diastolic function and degree of functional mitral regurgitation. Drug was well tolerated, with no thrombotic complications. While the drug stops lactation, growth and survival of infants was normal
Standard therapy (including diuretic, ACE inhibitor) (10 patients), plus warfarin if LVEF < 25% or LV thrombus, or this therapy plus bromocriptine plus cardiac MRI 4 to 6 weeks after diagnosis.
